SSC Stenographer Examination schema
- There are 02 Stages of exams namely Paper 1 & Paper 2
- There are 04 sections in Paper 1
- Paper 2 comprises questions from English language & Comprehension
- Each section will have 50 questions
- Each section of Paper 1 will carry 50 marks.
- The duration of the test is 2 hours
- The paper will have total of 200 objective-type questions
- The total mark of the test is 200.
- The questionnaires will be set in Hindi & English
- There is a negative marking of 0.25 marks for each wrong answer in Paper 1 & 2.
- For the correct answer aspirants will score 01 mark.
- Marks scored by runners will be normalised to prepare the result
- The marks obtained in the computer based examination are normalized.
- Such normalized scores are used to determine final qualification and cut-off scores.

| Hopefuls who do not have the correct date on the photo as per the recruitment notice will not be admitted for the examination. |
| Nominee should bring the original photo identity card with the same date of birth including date, month and year printed on the admission certificate. |
| If the photo ID card does not have the same date of birth, the candidate should bring an additional original certificate as proof of their date of birth. |
| Entrant will not be allowed to appear for the exam if the date of birth mentioned in the certificate brought in support of the Admission Certificate & Photo ID/ Date do not match. |
