Central Government Holiday List 2023 PDF | Holiday Calendar 2023 for Central Govt Offices: On this dashboard, you may get the details regarding Central Government Office Gazetted Holiday List 2023 PDF/ Central Government Public Holidays 2023. Every year the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) under the Central Government releases the list of holidays to be observed for the next year for Central Government offices and employees located across India. The order has given various instructions to the CGEWCC as to how to decide on the prohibited holidays for the CG offices located in different states. 16 holidays in a calendar year for central government employees including railways! 11 compulsory holidays (03 national holidays namely Republic Day, Independence Day, and Mahatma Gandhi’s birthday and 8 holidays related to minority communities like  Idul Zuha, Muharram, Good Friday, Buddha Purnima, Idul Fitr, Guru Nanak’s Birthday, Christmas Day and Mahavir Jayanti, remaining five Non-compulsory days are decided once for all. The number of restricted holidays taken by Central Government employees will continue to be two every year. Line staff shall observe 9 closed holidays in a year. The only mandatory holidays to be observed are three national holidays and the remaining 6 holidays are decided once and for all by their representative. In addition, each employee shall be permitted to avail of any two holidays of his/her choice from the specified list of prohibited holidays. Holidays to be observed in Central Government Offices during the year 2023

For offices located in New Delhi/Delhi, three holidays D/o Personnel and Training, and for offices located outside Delhi/New Delhi three holidays will be selected by Central Government Staff Welfare Coordination Committee at State Capitals. If necessary, in consultation with Coordinating Committees elsewhere in the State, from the list mentioned below. The final list shall be uniformly applicable to all Central Government offices in the concerned State and shall be notified accordingly, subject to any change thereafter. Central Government Office Gazetted Holiday List 2023 PDF

  • Coordinating Committees in state capitals may draw up a separate list of restricted holidays considering occasions of local importance.
  • Through, after selecting the 3 variable holidays the remaining 9 occasions should be included in the list of prohibited holidays.
  • Union Territory Administrations will decide=
  • In other words, after three national holidays and Id-ul-Fitr, Muharram and Diwali are added to the list of compulsory holidays, they will have the option of choosing 14 (fourteen) holidays. Weekend off.
  • In respect of banks, holidays will be regulated as per extant instructions issued by the Department of Financial Services, Ministry of Finance.
