According to NIOS current job opening mode of recruitment notification for the above all posts will be on direct recruitment. The vacancies can be increased or decreased at personal discretion. Preference will be given to the applicants who have Working knowledge of Hindi and English/ computer operations/ Organization of Seminars/Conferences and Orientation Programme etc. Applicants for one position only need to submit the one application. Applicants may apply for more than one position, but NIOS may hold the written test / skill test for two or more different positions on the same day. Applicants should be gentle enough to take the written test / skill test as one post only. Initially, the examination questions will be bilingual (Hindi & English) except for the language papers which would be in the language only. Candidates must bear their own expenses to attend the written test/ skill test/ interview, if invited. No TA/ DA will be paid. There must be selected candidates posted Headquarters or its Regional/ Sub-Regional Centers different parts of the country.

Required Qualification

Age Limitation
- Director: Age must be below 52 years.
- Joint Director: Age must be below 47 years.
- DD, AO, AAO: Age should not exceeding 56 years
- AE, JE: Maximum 30 years.
- Stenographer, JA, Assistant: Maximum 27 years
- For other posts: Age must be below 37 years.
