No.622(E) dated August 29, 2008 and as per rule 6 of these rules, Government servants shall exercise the option of drawing their pay in the revised pay structure in the form specified in the Second Schedule to the rules. Rule 7 of the CCS (RP) Rules, 2008 prescribes the manner of preliminary fixation of pay in the revised pay structure. Based on this rule, there are detailed determination tables for each stage in each pre-revised scale worked out in the manner prescribed by the Sixth Pay Commission and attached as Annexure-I to this O.M. These may be used for the purpose of fixation in the pay structure as revised on 1.1.2006. As per CCS (RP) Rules, 2008, the date of uniform pay increment i.e. 1st July of the year after implementation of the revised pay structure. Subsequently, in the case of employees whose date of next pay increment is on 1.1.2006, after adding this increment, the next increment in the revised pay structure will be raised to the pre-revised scale fixed as per the tables. Such cases will be taken up on July 1, 2006.
