Resolution of Tie
When two or more candidates form the merit list, the concerned authority shall use tie-breaking criteria to decide the order of merit. The determination of the resolution between the marks of the candidates is done using the criteria given in the same order as specified on the below section. Just check it out
- Based on the date of birth of the candidate – Preference will be given to older entrants.
- In case of tie, preference will be given to female Schedule Tribe (ST) candidate.
- If the tie holds, a female Scheduled Caste (SC) aspirants will be preferred.
- In case of tie, a female candidate from Other Backward Class-OBC category will be preferred.
- If the tie holds, a female candidate in the Economically Weaker Section (EWS) will be ranked higher.
- If a tie is still not resolved, a female candidate belonging to the Unreserved (UR) category will be preferred.
- If the tie holds, preference will be given to male Schedule Tribes (ST).
- If the tie is still not resolved, female Scheduled Caste (SC) candidate will be given preference
- In case of tie still, preference will be given to male candidate belonging to Other Backward Class (OBC).
- If the balance holds, Economically Weaker Section (EWS)- Male will rank higher
- If a tie is still not resolved, lastly, preference will be given to the male candidate belonging to the Unreserved (UR) category.
