LDCE for promotion to Group B AME/AWM in Mechanical Department

Selection Posts

The exam consists of a written test and Viva-Voice. The marks are as follows: Professional Ability – 50, Service Record – 30, and Seniority – 20. The professional ability for specific posts is determined through the Written Test – 35 Marks and Viva – 15 Marks. Proforma promotion

An officer on deputation/training may be given a proforma promotion and pay by a special order to be promoted in his post. Get the current job openings details here

Refusal of promotion

A promoted officer may refuse promotion in writing. If accepted, he will not be given a fresh promotion for one year except for temporary promotions for short-term vacancies. In such cases, he would not ordinarily be transferred from the station. Promotion after one year depends on whether the group is still valid or not. If not he will have to appear for the exam afresh. Combination of appointments

An officer may be required to hold a post in addition to his own. In that case, he will get a double pay allowance for the additional posts for a period of 6 months in addition to his own pay. He may also draw a stipend for the post. One does not have to pay extra if one keeps only current obligations. TA/DA is entitled to stay in an additional post. Additional promotion may be higher/ equal/ lower.
