AFCAT Syllabus 2022 Details
Consequently, twice a year Indian Air Force conducted the Air Force Common Admission Test (AFCAT) examination. According to the AFCAT- 01/2022 the recruitment exam will be conducted for Flying (Short Service Commission only), Technical (Permanent and Short Service Commission) and Ground Duty (Permanent and Short Service Commission) Branches. Scheme of AFCAT Online Examination
The AFCAT and EKT exam will be held in two days as per the given scheduled in the AFCAT exam notice. Candidates who have successfully applied for the AFCAT recruitment 2022 examination may check the examination centers in the admit card. The e-admit card will be available after 28 Jan 22 from the website afcat.cdac.in.
- The Online examination will consist of objective type questions and will be in English only for both AFCAT and EKT.
- The AFCAT questions will be based on the metric system of Weights & Measures wherever applicable.

Standard of AFCAT & EKT
- The standard of Numerical Ability Questions will be of Matriculation level.
- The standard of questions in other subjects will be of graduation level (Indian University).
AFCAT Marking Scheme
- Three marks will be awarded for every correct answer.
- One mark will be deducted for every wrong answer.
- No marks for unattempted questions.
Exam Pattern of AFCAT 2022
- Duration: 02 Hours
- No. of Questions: 100 Questions
- Max Marks: 300
EKT [For Candidates with one of the choices as (Technical) Branch] Exam Pattern:
- Duration: 45 Minutes
- No. of Questions: 50
- Max Marks: 150
AFCAT 2022 Syllabus PDF Download
- AFCAT exam 2022 contains four sections and the ground duty (technical) branch only will consist of mechanical, computer science and electrical & electronics.
AFCAT Syllabus for English Section
- English. Comprehension, Error Detection, Sentence Completion/ Filling in of correct word, Synonyms, Antonyms and Testing of Vocabulary, Idioms and Phrases.
Syllabus for General Knowledge
- General Awareness. History, Geography, Civics, Politics, Current Affairs, Environment, Basic Science, Defence, Art, Culture, Sports, etc.
Syllabus for Numerical Ability
- Decimal Fraction, Time and Work, Average, Profit & Loss, Percentage, Ratio & Proportion and Simple Interest, Time & Distance (Trains/Boats & Streams).
