CATEGORY-I PATTERN
- The written Examination will comprise of 40 objective type Multiple choice questions (MCQs) questions.
- The duration of the exam is total 01 hour/ 60 minutes
- For each correct answer you will be awarded 03 marks
- There is negative marking for each wrong answer marked by the candidates
- 01 mark will be deducted for each wrong answer
- Claimants who qualify in the written test will be shortlisted for interview.
CATEGORY-II PATTERN
Stage :1 – Preliminary Test Exam pattern
The selection process will consist of tests in 3 stages – Stage 1 – Preliminary Test, Stage 2 – Advanced Test & Stage 3 -Skill Test
- For each correct answer you will be awarded 03 marks
- There is negative marking for each wrong answer marked by the candidates
- 01 mark will be deducted for each wrong answer
- The Screening examinations to be held to shortlist candidates.
- The format of the screening examinations will be common for all Trades
- All candidates who get <40% marks in General category and <30% marks in Reservation category will be screened

Stage : 2- Advanced Test Exam pattern
- All candidates Screened in Stage-1 will be allowed to undertake Stage-2 (Advance Test) in their respective Trade.
The Test will comprise 50 multiple choice questions with choice of 4 answers - The duration of the exam is 02 hours/ 120 minutes
- For each correct answer you will be awarded 03 marks
- There is negative marking for each wrong answer marked by the candidates
- 01 mark will be deducted for each wrong answer
- Those who get <30% marks in General category and <20% marks in Reservation category will be screened.
- Based on the marks obtained in Stage-2, a merit list of applicants will be prepared after Stage-2.
Stage : 3- Skill Test Exam pattern
- Candidates will be selected for Stage-3 (Skills Selection) in each trade based on the qualification list prepared after Level-2.
- The number of hopefuls selected for the aptitude test will depend on the number of applicants eligible for Level 2, but should not exceed 4 – 5 more than twice the number of vacancies in each trade
- To qualify the applicants, the aptitude test will be conducted on Go / No-Go basis.
- Interviewees who pass the aptitude test will be selected and embalmed on the basis of merit based on the marks obtained in Level-2.
TIE Details
In the event of a draw, the following criteria will be adopted in order to determine the position on the qualifying list
- The candidates with the lowest negative marks in Level-2 should get a higher place in the qualifying list.
- The aspirants who gets the highest marks in Stage-1 should get a higher place in the qualifying list.
CATEGORY-I: SYLLABUS
- The syllabus for the said examination will be based on subjects at Diploma/B.Sc. level as the case may be
