The engagement will not be entitled for any service benefits as admissible to regular employees of NCDC. The engagement is not entitled to any T.A. for joining the appointment. About NCDC Limited
The National Institute of Communicable Diseases (NICD) had its origin as Central Malaria Bureau, established at Kasauli (Himachal Pradesh) in 1909 and following expansion was renamed in 1927 as the Malaria Survey of India. The organization was shifted to Delhi in 1938 and called as the Malaria Institute of India (MII). The institute was established to function as a national centre of excellence for control of communicable diseases. The function of the institute also included various areas of training and research using multi-disciplinary integrated approach. The institute was, in addition, expected to provide expertise to the States and Union Territories (UTs) on rapid health assessment and laboratory based diagnostic services. Surveillance of communicable diseases and outbreak investigation also formed an indispensable part of its activities.
NCDC Lab Technician/ Attendant & Asst. Director Job Notification Details
The engagement is purely on contract basis for a full time basis and no other employment should be taken up along with this engagement. The appointment can also be terminated at any time, on either side by giving 15 days notice or by paying 15 days salary. The candidate will be entitled for annual leave of 30 days @ two and a half days per month and sick leave of 10 days per annum on pro-rata basis. However, in cases of exigencies, the leave may not be sanctioned by the leave sanctioning authority. The leave remaining un-utilised at the end of the contract shall not be encased or carried forward in the event of further extension of contractual appointment. Required Qualification
- Assistant Director: Master’s degree (MSc/ MVSc./ MD) in relevant discipline.
- Attendant: 10th passed from a recognized board or university with one year working experience in any Govt. registered lab.
- Technician: B.Sc. In MLT from recognized university/ 10+2

Age Limitation
- Assistant Director: Not more than 40 years
- Lab. Technician/ Attendant: Not more than 25 years

NCDC Lab Technician/ Attendant & Asst. director Recruitment Walk-in Interview Procedure
Eligible candidates fulfilling the educational qualification, experience etc. as mentioned above may appear for the Walk-in-interview/ Skill Test on the above-mentioned dates/ time at National Centre for Disease Control, 22-Sham Nath Marg, Delhi -110 054 (Near Civil Line Metro Station).
The eligible candidates may register their names for interview between 9.30 AM to 10.30 AM along with their resume, original certificates, one passport size photograph and their attested copies. Registration will be closed at 10.30 AM sharp. Candidate reporting after 10.30 AM will not be entertained. Candidates reporting without original document will also not entertained. The candidate must ensure their eligibility, as per above Terms of Reference, before appearing for Walk-in-interview/ Skill Test.
The Walk-in-interview/ Skill test shall be held in batches to ensure social distancing in view of the on-going COVID-19 pandemic.
