Madras High Court Selection Process 2021
- Written Examination

Madras High Court Office Assistant Exam Pattern 2021
- The question paper will be only in Tamil
- Common Written Examination will consist of 50 multiple choice questions (objective type),
- Each question carrying 01 Mark
- There will be no negative marking for the Madras High Court Exam 2021.
- Total marks 50 marks.
- Exam duration will be 60 minutes

- Part-A: General knowledge: Current affairs, Basic arithmetic abilities and Knowledge in housekeeping Hygiene, Food and beverage service, Food production, Traffic signs, Traffic rules, Office maintenance, Office well keeping, Office articles/ equipment maintenance, etc.
- Part B: General Tamil
Practical Test

- Minimum qualifying mark: 21 marks)

- Part-A: General knowledge:- Current affairs, basic arithmetic abilities, and knowledge in house-keeping, hygiene, food and beverage service, food production, traffic signs, traffic rules, office maintenance, office well keeping, office articles/ equipment maintenance, etc. (The question paper will be only in Tamil).
- Part-B: General Tamil
Madras High Court Practical Test
- Maximum Marks: 70
- Minimum qualifying mark: 21 marks
The candidates shortlisted, as per merit, will be called for the practical test, to test their knowledge in-office maintenance, House-keeping, hygiene, household articles maintenance, other household duties including food production, cooking, cleaning, food and beverage service, gardening skills, water conservation, basic principles of guarding a house/ office, etc.
For the posts of Chobdar, Office Assistant, Waterman, Watchman, and Room Boy:
- The candidates shortlisted, as stated above, will be called for Practical Test, to test their skills in office maintenance; office well keeping, House-keeping, hygiene, household articles maintenance, Office articles/equipment maintenance, other office duties, household duties including food production, cooking, cleaning, food, and beverage service, etc.
For the post of Cook:
- The candidates shortlisted, as stated above, will be called for a Practical Test, to test their skills in cooking, housekeeping, hygiene, household articles maintenance, cleaning, food and beverage service, etc.
For the posts of Library Attendant and Book Restorer:
- The candidates shortlisted, as per merit, will be called for Practical Test, to test their skills in book maintenance, library maintenance, bookbinding, office maintenance; office well keeping, Office articles/ equipment maintenance, other office duties, etc.
Oral Test
(30 Marks) (Minimum qualifying mark: 9 marks)
For Oral Test, the candidates will be shortlisted as per merit based on the marks secured by them in the Practical Test, in the ratio of 1:2 or 1:3 or such number as may be decided by the Judicial Recruitment Cell, High Court, Madras with reference to the number of vacancies from and out of the qualified candidates in the Practical Test, following the rule of reservation, for each post separately. The object of the oral test is to assess the suitability of the candidates by judging their mental alertness, skills, attitude, ethics, character, etc.
